IVF with Egg Donation relies on the kindness of volunteers who donate their unfertilised eggs for others to use in treatment. In order to provide the widest possible range of donated eggs to our patients with minimal delays, Maigaard offers two Egg Donor Programs.

First Appointment
Arrange a first appointment with one of our expert fertility consultants. First appointments are free of charge and available without delay both online and in-person.
Agree a Treatment Plan
Your consultant will help you find the best treatment based on your unique results and circumstances. Once you’ve agreed a treatment plan you can move directly into treatment.
Donor Selection
You will work with our dedicated donation coordinator to understand the options available to you, and start the process selecting the best donation program and then finding the correct egg donor. Your coordinator will liaise closely with your doctor to understand the requirements, as well as your personal preference.
Embryo Creation
Embryos will be created using donated eggs from your chosen donation program. We offer a guarantee that you will have at least one blastocyst as a result of the donation cycle regardless of which program you choose, ensuring peace of mind throughout the process.
Embryo Transfer
Your consultant will help to decide on the highest quality embryo to use for transfer. Any additional embryos can then be frozen for use at a later date.
Pregnancy Test
Two weeks after your treatment you will be invited to conduct a pregnancy test, which will indicate the outcome of your treatment. Whatever the result, our team are by your side to help you with the next steps.

A non-anonymous or open-ID egg donor is someone who has decided to donate their eggs and allow the recipients, as well as any child born as a result of their donation, access to information which can identify them once the child reaches a certain age. This provides more options for recipients who want to discuss the donation with their children in the future.
What is an open-ID egg donor?
An open-ID egg donor is the same as a non-anonymous egg donor. A non-anonymous or open-ID egg donor is someone who has decided to donate their eggs and allow the recipients, as well as any child born as a result of their donation, access to information which can identify them once the child reaches a certain age. This provides more options for recipients who want to discuss the donation with their children in the future.
