Fertility treatments
Maigaard clinics rank amongst the best in Europe, offering state-of-the-art IVF technology in a warm and personalized setting.
Welcome to a clinic where everybody knows your name. Welcome to the beginning of your new life.[VS1]
Who can be treated?
The Danish legislation does not allow women above the age of 45 to be treated for infertility.
There is no waiting time at Maigaard, we can start at any moment. .
How to get started
Call or email the clinic and inform us about your situation. Please help us help you by sharing any prior treatment reports or examinations, if any. You are always welcome to book a first consultation with one of our specialists, where we can inform you of the different treatments available and assess which tailored solution suits you best. This does not entail any commitment on your part.
If you live outside Denmark, the initial part of the investigation and treatment can be performed by your local gynecologist, with whom we would be happy to liaise with.
How do we treat?
At Maigaard, we offer a diverse and complete set of customisable treatments, investigations and services to help you get the best outcome, no matter you situation.IUI
Intrauterine Insemination with your partner's semen (IUI-H).
Intrauterine Insemination with donor semen (IUI-D).
IVF
In Vitro Fertilization.
ICSI
IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection. This is a particular form of IVF that is particularly indicated for male factor cases. In this type of treatment the fertilization of the eggs is done with a micro injection technique, where a single spermatozoon is injected directly into the egg.
TESE
Testicular Sperm Extraction. Surgical collection of spermatozoa directly from the testicles. This is necessary when there are no spermatozoa in the ejaculate (azoospermia), either for clinical reasons or because the man had a vasectomy.
Assisted Hatching (AHA)
This is a technique where we artificially make a “hole” in the membrane that surrounds the egg. It is used in some cases to enhance the ability of the embryo to implant in the uterus.
Embryo Freezing
Surplus embryos that meet our quality standards can be frozen for later use.
HYsteroCOntrast SonosalpingographY (HyCoSy) or Saline Hysterosonography
Ultrasound guided evaluation of the patency of the tubes (checking if they are open or closed) by assessing the flow of saline water (can also be done with a contrast liquid) that was previously injected into the uterus through a fine tube, placed in the cervix.
This test also allows us to examine the cavity of your uterus (checking for problems such as fibroids, polyps or adhesions).
